Dr. Sajja is well-acquainted with the newest technologies within the field of radiation oncology today, such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and more recently image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). IGRT has been a particularly exciting development within radiation oncology because it allows the radiation treatment to account for tumor movement, allowing the physician to reduce the size of the treatment fields and reduce the side effects associated with treatment. She has had extensive experience in treating an array of tumors using such IGRT technologies as cone-beam CT, on-board imaging (OBI), and more recently the Calypso 4-D localization system forprostate cancer. Dr. Sajja utilizes these state-of-the-art techniques as part of a multimodality approach to cancer treatment. Dr. Sajja received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her residency training at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she trained with many of the current leaders in the field of radiation oncology, participated in several clinical research projects, and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Sajja also achieved honors and distinctions throughout her prior education at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sajja is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas and received board certification in the field of radiation oncology in June 2006. Dr. Sajja has been practicing in the North Dallas area since 2006, and is proud to be affiliated with the North Dallas Radiation Oncology Center since it’s opening in June 2008. With two members of her own family who have battled cancer, Dr. Sajja is attuned to the emotional needs of the patient. She strives to involve her patients and their families in all the decision-making aspects of treatment and provides care in a thoughtful and compassionate environment.
